Meetings are located at The Slovak Club, 6920 Broadway, Merrillville, IN 46410 Meetings start at 3:00 PM sharp. A meal and fun activity is enjoyed after the meeting. The meal typically starts around 4:00 PM. Check back often! Dates do change during the year. Meeting dates this year are: 2/10, 3/2, 4/6, 5/4, 7/13, 9/7, 10/5, 11/2, 12/7 Special events this year are: 3/15 - Dinner and horse races at Balmoral Park We will enjoy a delicious buffet with a chef carving station and made to order pasta before the races begin. Gates open at 5:30. Dinner at 6:30. Racing at 7:30. Cost is $30 pp. Kids are welcome. 6-10 years of age are half price. Under 5 are free. RSVP by the March 2 meeting. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Saxons from across the
Midwest will be converging on Merrillville for the semi-annual ATS Convention.
Branch 26 is hosting the event at the Radisson this year. Non-delegates are
welcome to attend and listen to the meeting. A party celebrating Branch 26’s
100th Anniversary will be held Saturday evening. Call for more
details or watch our website for updates!
6/8 - US Steel Railcats Baseball Game
It’s time to head to the
ballpark. We have reserved the party deck again at the Railcats stadium. We
will enjoy an all you can eat buffet and our own private area to watch the game
and visit with each other. Gates open at 1 pm. Lunch is served at 1 pm. Game
begins at 2 pm. We’re planning this earlier in the year so hopefully it won’t
be as hot! There will be NO MEETING today. Cost is $28 pp. RSVP by May 31.
RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. If you sign up and do not attend you will be
expected to pay the lodge back for the cost of your ticket.
8/3 - Center for the Visual and Performing Arts We will meet at the CVPA in Munster at 1 pm for brunch. After brunch, at 2:30, we will enjoy a theatrical production of Phantom. There will be NO MEETING. Cost for the brunch is $28 pp. Cost for the show is $26 pp. RSVP by July 20. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. If you sign up and do not attend you will be expected to pay the lodge back for the cost of your ticket. 10/5 - Bowling and Pizza at Stardust We have to gear up for the
ATS bowling tournament so we will meet at Stardust instead of the Slovak Club this
month. We will enjoy three hours of bowling, pizza, and conduct our meetings as
well. Cost is $15.00 pp. RSVP by September 20. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. If
you sign up and do not attend you will be expected to pay the lodge back for
the cost of your seat.
11/2 - Annual Memorial Meeting and Service
We pause to remember our
loved ones during our annual memorial service. Join us for our regular November
meeting, followed by a delicious catered meal and our memorial service. Meeting
at 3 pm. Dinner at 4 pm. Memorial service at 5 pm. RSVP by October 20.
RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. If you sign up and do not attend you will be
expected to pay the lodge back for the cost of your meal.
12/7 - Annual Christmas Dinner and Entertainment
No meeting, just delicious
food and Christmas entertainment. Cocktails at 4:30, Dinner at 5 pm,
entertainment at 6 pm. RSVP by November 20. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. If you
sign up and do not attend you will be expected to pay the lodge back for the
cost of your meal.
